VOLUNTEERS
Art
from the Heart welcomes volunteers!
Art from the Heart can use volunteers in a wide variety of ways,
so whatever your interests and talents, the program can use your
energy! Potential volunteers are invited to come to the studio
to talk with staff about their strengths and interests and to
see if the program is a good fit for them.
Art from the Heart asks that volunteers commit to come one day a week,
1-4 hours a day, for a period of 3 months or more
(schedules may vary for special projects, but must be approved
by the Volunteer Coordinator). Volunteers should be
self-motivated because they determine their own direction at the
studio.
Some typical tasks of a volunteer:
Assist with a class
Assist one artist on a specific project
Collaborate on an art project or a series of projects with one
or more artists
Help students in open studio with supplies, visuals, and
technical questions
Socialize and play games
Help prepare the studio for art shows: paint walls, hang art,
prepare artwork
Design brochures, invitations, other print materials for Art from the Heart
