ART FROM THE HEART STAFF

Emily Conradson joined Art from the Heart in 2003, excited to share her enthusiasm of creating with a group of fellow artists.  She expanded her media of interest to include mosaic, fabric doll making, ceramics, woodworking, printmaking, and natural building.  Emily grew up with a friend of the family with William’s syndrome, which led her to recognize that we all have a place and a voice in this crazy world of ours.  When not working, Emily can be found playing ping-pong or in her backyard, dreaming and creating her personal slice of paradise.

Brian Hill has been kicking around Art from the Heart since December 2008.He most enjoys working with students on a variety of approaches to drawing, painting, printmaking, music making, and enjoys tooling around in the woodshop. He aspires to the principles of voluntary simplicity and seeks to become more resourceful in all areas of his life. When he’s not at Art from the Heart, he prefers to be doing something active like riding his bike, skateboarding, going for long walks, or exploring new places.  He’s also very passionate about music of all kinds, especially if it’s raw and has a good rhythm.  He loves that his job allows him to be who he is and daily engage in creative problem solving.

Ryan Williams earned his BFA in Painting and Drawing in 2001.  He has taught classes in painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and encaustic. He recently revived the theater program with the original production of Unification. Ryan enjoys the kinetic energy of the studio and the artists' sense of humor.

Lane Taplin is a Colorado native, animal-lover, and artist. Her creative practice encompasses weaving, installation work, sculpture, creative facilitation, baking bread, fermentation experiments, and growing vegetables. She is currently dreaming up ways of using art to build community, inspire empowerment, and facilitate unexpected connections between people.

Adam Friedman has lived up and down the west coast of the United States. Born in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, he developed a love for nature and the great outdoors at an early age. Outside of hiking, swimming, camping and so on, Adam LOVES to paint. He received his BFA from the University of Oregon and holds an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute.
His work has been exhibited across the US, and is currently represented by the Eleanor Harwood Gallery in San Francisco.

Melisse Gamache has been working for Art from the Heart since 2008. Melisse supports 2 artists who are deaf by facilitating communication amongst everyone at the studio. She feels blessed to work with the friendly staff who are motivated to learn American Sign Language in order to communicate with her, as she is Deaf and fluent in ASL, and she enjoys translating complex conversations between the staff and artists. She especially loves inspiring the artists with various art projects as they master the freedom of expression through making art. Her desire is to continue to learn and grow as much as she can in any way that she can.
